CAPI payload checker

Most Conversions API problems are silent: Meta accepts the request and quietly can't match or count the event. Paste a request body to see every problem with the line it's on.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere. Remove access tokens before pasting.

Paste a request body, or load the example, and press Check payload.

How it works

1

What it checks

Required fields, standard event names and their exact case, event_time in seconds and not older than 7 days, action_source and what website events need, SHA-256 hashing of contact details, unhashed IP, user agent, fbc and fbp, event_id, and value and currency on Purchase.

2

What it can't check

Whether your access token and dataset id are right, or what Meta's servers decide. Send a test event from Events Manager's Test events tab for that.

3

Nothing leaves your browser

The check runs on this page. Remove your access token before pasting anything.

Why does Meta accept events that this tool flags?

Meta's API accepts many mistakes, such as an unhashed email or a missing event_id, and then can't match or deduplicate the event. The request succeeds and the event is worth less.

Does Trakero check this for me?

Yes. Trakero builds every Conversions API request itself, hashes contact details on arrival and shows each event's request and Meta's response in the debugger.

Let Trakero do this for every order

Trakero captures click ids, hashes customer data and sends each purchase once to Meta, TikTok, GA4 and more from your server, so ad blockers and Safari can't lose it.
