Trakero vs Cloudflare Workers (DIY)
A Cloudflare Worker is a small script you run on Cloudflare's network. Many guides show how to forward the Meta Pixel's events from one to the Conversions API for free. It works, and for a small site it can be enough. You are then the one who writes and maintains the script, watches its limits, and builds deduplication, retries and hashing. Is tracking with a free Cloudflare Worker allowed?
Yes. It is your own script on your Cloudflare account. The questions are the limits, and who fixes it when it breaks.
Can I keep Cloudflare in front of my site and use Trakero?
Yes. Cloudflare as your DNS, CDN and firewall works with Trakero. Remove the Worker that sends to Meta when you connect Meta in Trakero, so purchases are not sent twice.
Does a Worker on my own domain keep cookies longer on Safari?
A cookie written by a script is capped at 7 days either way. A cookie set by your store's own server, as the WooCommerce plugin does, is not.
